My Ihaumato writing

Would you like it if someone stole your phone?
Or if you made something so good, then somebody came along and ruined
it? Right now I am going to give you 3 reasons why I am against
fletcher building houses on Ancient Maori land.

First of all the land is stolen. So before fletcher bought the land,
the government stole it from the Maori in 1863. That is also a major breach
of the treaty of Waitangi signed in 1840. So if the government were to give
back the land all the problems would be solved.

Second of all, who would want to live in an area like that? I mean come on!
All that noise and gas from the airport. Also, you wouldn't want to live on
historical Maori land.

Lastly, the kaumatua tribes wanted their land back but couldn't do anything.
They asked Phil Goff and the government for help, but there was absolutely
nothing they can do. Our ancestors found this land and you can't sell other
people's stuff

In my conclusion, the government are guilty of stealing historical land from
Maori iwi, and fletcher should not be allowed to build the houses.
