My Persuasive Writing

Do you like watching people throw a ball in the Air? Well, I sure wouldn't I mean to me that's boring. Right now I am going to give you three terrific reasons why the NRL is better than the NBA.

Firstly, the NRL is more interesting. There are more options in the NRL than in NBA there are layups, dunks, and three-point shots. I mean some people could find that interesting but not me. In the NRL there are big hits, runaways, field goals and much more.

Secondly, there are more people on the field. So that makes it much more interesting. In the NBA there are 5 players on the court and 5 positions. The 5 positions in basketball are the Point Guard, Shooting Guard, Small Forward, Power Forward, and The Center. In the NRL there are 13 players on the field and 10 positions. There is 1 Fullback, 2 Wingers, 2 Centers, 1 Five-Eighth, 1 Halback, 2 Props, 2 Second Rows, and 1 Hooker.

Lastly, there is more physical contact. All you see in basketball it little slaps on the wrist. In the NRL you get to see Big Hits, Ankle Taps, Chase Down, and many more. I always get a thrill when I see someone get picked off the ground and get dumped on the floor. Though there is a 1 in 4  chance that someone will get injured it is still an electrifying sight to see.

In my conclusion, the NRL is better because it is more interesting, More people and more physical contact.

My Ihaumato writing

Would you like it if someone stole your phone?
Or if you made something so good, then somebody came along and ruined
it? Right now I am going to give you 3 reasons why I am against
fletcher building houses on Ancient Maori land.

First of all the land is stolen. So before fletcher bought the land,
the government stole it from the Maori in 1863. That is also a major breach
of the treaty of Waitangi signed in 1840. So if the government were to give
back the land all the problems would be solved.

Second of all, who would want to live in an area like that? I mean come on!
All that noise and gas from the airport. Also, you wouldn't want to live on
historical Maori land.

Lastly, the kaumatua tribes wanted their land back but couldn't do anything.
They asked Phil Goff and the government for help, but there was absolutely
nothing they can do. Our ancestors found this land and you can't sell other
people's stuff

In my conclusion, the government are guilty of stealing historical land from
Maori iwi, and fletcher should not be allowed to build the houses.
